The 2020 Ghetto Film School (GFS) International Thesis Films were produced in partnership with the Erika Film Foundation (EFF). These films were originally planned to be shot in South Korea in August 2020, but international travel was no longer feasible due to restrictions.

In early August 2020, GFS LA and NY Fellows finished shooting the Erika Film Foundation International Thesis Film Projects, MODERN EDUCATION (GFS LA, Cinematography by Kylin Finley, Written by Andrew Oh, Directed by Yeneca Kim) and NEIGHBORS (GFS NY, Written and Directed by Elisabeth Viel). With guidance from Film LA monitors, Screen Actors Guild representatives, and our invaluable partnership with the EFF, we were able to wrap two week-long domestic shoots safely and successfully.
